Kids Creative Business School is our brand new program launching in Term One 2016 at Free Range Living.
This is such an exciting program developed by Deni Fowle, Creative Director of Free Range Living and Laura Maidment, our Creative Learning Teacher, and Business Owner and Fashion Designer of Laura Maidment Fashion.
This program will be suitable for kids in Years 5 and up, and students will learn about launching and growing their own creative business, product research and development, costs and pricing, marketing, and of course product manufacturing and standards. During this process they will develop and improve on hand sewing and machine sewing skills.
Part One of the program will run over Term One and Term Two. Alongside the educational components, students will commence creating their core product range (likely hair accessories, small purses and bags etc), with the view to build stock over the two terms, and will be involved in a joint market day towards the end of Term Two. All takings from the market day will be donated to a charity organization selected by the students.
Class will run on Wednesdays 5:00-6:30pm and commences 3rd February.
The cost of the program is charged per term, at $185 per student per term. A $50 deposit is required to secure the student’s spot in the program, and the balance of each term is payable through the first 3 weeks of term. The program cost covers all materials used by the students.
